Omar Altabtabaee, Kuwait
Omar Altabtabaee is an elected Member of Parliament in Kuwait’s National Assembly, representing District 2. Omar contributed to the Education, Culture and Guidance Affairs Committee of the National Assembly. He adopted the Abolish 153 cause in May 2017 within the parliament and garnered four other signatures for an urgent request to abolish ‘Article 153’ in Kuwait’s Penal Code.

A Saudi Arabian pediatrician pioneering the field of child maltreatment in Saudi Arabia and founder of the National Family Safety Program. Dr. Maha helped draft the Child Protection Act which defines and criminalizes domestic violence.

Founding member of Abolish 153 and the Managing Director of Al Abjar Holding Company. In conjunction with Sundus’s professional career, she has been involved as political activist to further democratic practices in Kuwait.
